Maintenance Crew
The Grounds Maintenance Crew Lead is responsible for managing, directing and coaching the crew. They will be the first point of contact for the customer and associates, ensuring their health and safety are priority and the quality of work is up to standards.
- Assist with employee training.
- Establish weekly maintenance schedules for clients.
- Ensure job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment are safe for associates.
- Manage client relationships.
- Coach staff on how to safely and properly use equipment, machines, and tools.
- Communicate expectations, with clients as well as staff.
- Follow up with customers to ensure quality of work was completed.
- Make recommendations to staff or clients using your expertise.
- Assist with the day-to-day functions and tasks.
- Keep communication open with upper management.
- Perform site inspections.
- Operate weed eaters, power mowers, backpack sprayers, power edgers, hoes, shovels, hand tools, and related landscape equipment as required.

- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required
- Extended periods of standing/sitting
- Flexibility to travel from each site location
- PPE is required, including but not limited to green omega safety footwear, safety glasses, gloves, and or hearing protection
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Manual dexterity required to use equipment and tools
- Extended hours as required
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- College Diploma, Apprenticeship, CHT or CLT an asset
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape maintenance
- WHMIS, CPR, First AID, and safety and equipment operation certifications an asset
- Valid G License
- Ability to train and coach the team
- Knowledge of lawn maintenance best practices

$24 – 28 per hour
